To ensure excellence in products and services provided in the fields of meteorology, climatology and geophysics, the Institute of Meteorology, IP (IM) needs to keep updated the scientific knowledge in Earth Science and Space, guiding them to improve their service delivery to citizens and economic and social operators.

In this context, IM has been involved in programs and Research and Development projects, nationally and internationally, in partnership with universities, research institutes and national and international counterparts, aiming at targets that identify with its scientific and mission concerns.

The participation of IM in scientific research projects has resulted in the sharing of information derived from databases and analyzing the results, as well as integration into groups of model development and participation in consortia oriented to conceiving and dissemination of products with technical application and economic responsibilities as part of their mission.

In this area of IM’s Portal it is presented information about the projects in which IM is currently involved and is also kept a record the results obtained in projects already completed.
